I’ve had it!  Today was the icing on the cake with my jaunts to the grocery store.  Only 2 registers were open and my double stroller wouldn’t fit through the checkout aisle.  Typically I can avoid this struggle by going through the express lane, as there is no register on one side.  Then again, that’s chaotic too as I always have way more items than ‘allowed’ for express.  It’s a lose lose situation for all involved.  The cashiers are fed up with me, my young daughters don’t like being in the store very long, and the other patrons lose their patience as well.  The good news is that I’ve been introduced to Peapod.  I admit, I was a little reluctant to give them a shot as I thought it would be a hassle to order groceries online and I just didn’t trust that the process would go very smoothly. Fortunately, I could not have been more wrong!  Yes, the first time placing an order will take a few minutes, but it’s fun!  Plus after that, it’s a cinch.  Previously ordered items can be saved on a list so you can easily choose items from there. There are a plethora of fun ways to play with the site.  Tabs are available for specific aisles (produce, dairy, bread, household items, baking goods, children’s needs, wine & spirits, etc), you can filter your items for dietary needs/wants (low fat, low sodium, gluten free, dairy free, peanut free, etc), recipes and prepared meals are available (even some from Charlie Trotter), and there are weekly specials form which to choose as well!  Not only all that, but you can choose your delivery time and most likely, it can be delivered within a day! It’s inexpensive too, especially considering time and gas money saved. You don’t even have to be home!  Frozen items were still frozen as they packed them with dry ice.  Everything was of the correct temperature, amazing!  I’ve actually worked in the produce field before and I know how difficult it is to maintain good quality.  No qualms here, Peapod does the job, and does it quite well!  Can you tell I am impressed!?!  Honestly, this is a great company, not only for their products and service, but also because they allow me to spend more time with our two little peas in a pod!   Thank you Peapod!
